SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE VIDEOS ABOUT STEVE AND MIKE

THE CRO-MAGNUM GOES TO THE GNRS!

THE FABULOUS FURNITURE LOGGING TRUCK
Steve picks up a maple tree in the forest, downed in a local storm. Can you believe this guy? Watch out for snakes.

MILLING THE TREE

Steve, Mike and Warren mill  wood from trees which Steve has picked up from  local forests. He cuts the trees into thick 2 inch planks, ready for use in his furniture business. Steve prefers trees that have already fallen down instead of logging live ones.

MICHAEL LANG'S CONFERENCE TABLE

The well-known concert producer, Michael Lang (Woodstock,) commissions Steve to build a huge conference table for his new Manhattan office. Steve and Mike complete the job in four days using a special maple, speckled with worm holes and stains. That's the easy part - getting it up twelve stories to a penthouse office - not so easy.

MIKE'S NEW OBSESSION: MOTOR-BIKES
The Creative genius that he is, Mike takes old bikes, throws a Chinese motor on them, customizes them and makes something very cool from something needing tender loving care. The video shows two of his first ones, but he's now on to number four.

STEVE RECEIVES A 1ST PLACE AWARD AT THE GRAND NATIONAL ROADSTER SHOW

This video is a sequence hastily cut together for those of you who might be interested in seeing something current. There's more, but this captures the exciting moment. My camera was on standby as they announced the winner in Steve's category and because it came up so quickly, I missed him as he whooped and hollered and ran past me like a 16 year old to the front of the stage. Luckily, my camera came up to speed quickly, although it felt like an hour, and I was able to capture the moment.

THINGS MIKE DOES WHEN HE ISN'T BUILDING REAL CARS

You might say "big deal - they're just models!" But look again my friend, Mike built each one. Many are customized. And this is only half his collection. He actually has a spray booth in his shower to spray paint these things. And he keeps building new ones every day when he isn't working on real cars. We're gonna have to increase his salary so he can build a wing on his house. And how about that camera work eh? It's Steve Heller with a flip camera. Not bad. Huh....I wonder if he can shoot himself while being in front of the camera....
